The French Connection – an exciting new collaboration series with seven French restaurants for 2026
We are very proud to announced a new series of exciting events called The French Connection. The series, in partnership with iconic French aperitif brand Lillet, will see restaurant co-founders Mark and Matt, invite some of their favourite restaurants from across France to cook with them in Peckham over the course of 2026, starting Sunday 8th March.
THE LINE UP
The series kicks off with two of the countries most well loved Auberges, Auberge de Chassignolles (8th March) from the Auvergne region and Auberge de Bellevie (12th April) hailing from the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region. Don’t let the translation of ‘inn’ or ‘hostel’ fool you, the Auberge de Chassignolles, currently under head chef Harry Millar previously of Coombeshead Farm and proprietor Poppy Sakker Norrish, is a must visit for those looking for a beautiful getaway with exceptional food and an abundance of outstanding wine. Whilst the Auberge de Belleville, opened in 2024 by Zoe Boinet an alumni of Chassignolles, has, with the support of head chef Byron Fini, formerly of Brawn, Bright and La Doyenné has firmly put their star on the map.
Those familiar with Paris, will be au fait with the visitors from the capital, first up will be Deviant (17th May) with new head chef Jeff Schilde, one of the city’s most lauded bistro wine bars. Followed by the “F**k that’s Delicious” Action Bronson approved Les Enfants du Marché (14th June) with owner Michael Grossman and head chef Kento Komoda and finally, Bambino (19th July), with head chef Valentin Burteaux (ex-Septime) which is also home to one of the cities best sound systems and natural winelists.. There will be a brief autumnal break and then we welcome two brilliant spots from the south Coast; arguably Marseille’s must go to restaurant, La Mercerie (25th October) led by chef owner Harry Cummins and one of the newest hot spots in town, Prosper (22nd November) with owner and head chef Francois Roche.
Each restaurant will cook a £59 set menu lunch at Levan. The plan is for a long, lazy, boozy lunch where we cook signature dishes from each partner’s restaurant. Lunch will go on for slightly later with our last sitting at 4pm. After, we pack up the pots and pans and get out the records for a party next door at Bar Levan until late.
